Members of the armed forces and MOD can claim up to 25% off a new Airtime Plan when purchasing a phone or tablet on O2 Refresh, via their Military discount programme, O2 Open.

Claim Discount:
Claiming the O2 Military Discount:
- Visit the O2 Open page to get started. You will need to text the word “OPEN” followed by your company name to 61202 to receive the eligibility code. At time of writing the code for the difference branches are as follows:
- Army – “ARM01“
- Navy – “NAV01“
- Airforce – “RAF01“
- Reserves & Cadets – “XQE31“.
- Now that you have the code, proceed to the O2 Shop to purchase your Pay Monthly phone, tablet or mobile broadband device on O2 Refresh. As part of the purchasing process you will create a My O2 username and password.
- Sign in to O2 Open here, using your My O2 credentials and the code you received.
- Once logged in you will be able to verify your Military status (payroll number and/or valid email address) and add your discount, which will appear on your second month’s bill.
Eligibility & Usage:
This discount is open to members of the armed forces (including reserves and cadets) and ministry of defence staff. An MOD email address or payroll number is required to prove your employment status.
The discount is worth up to 25% for 3GB or above Airtime plans, or up to 15% for Airtime plans below 3GB.
See the programme details page for a live list of exemptions. At time of writing this includes: Pay As You Go, non-O2 Refresh tariffs, sharer plans, and business accounts. Sim only deals and contracts not bought directly from O2 are also not included.
